Helping the Hurt - Grief Group Fall 2015
KinderMourn recognizes that many of our community’s most vulnerable youth are unable to attend support groups at the KinderMourn Home. In 1992, due to this reality and the growing number of children impacted by grief and loss, the agency established Helping The Hurt, an outreach program providing support and hope to our most distressed children and teens.
Helping The Hurt offers on-site grief support for elementary, middle and high school youth in area schools and neighborhood community centers. Through generous donations from foundations and United Way, Helping The Hurt is offered at no cost to participants.
Butler High School will be hosting a group for students that have lost a loved one. All grade levels are welcome. Please contact [email protected] for enrollment information.

ASSE International HOST FAMILIES NEEDED!
ASSE International is currently seeking wonderful families like yourselves to host a student for the upcoming 2015-16 school year! We currently have some wonderful students who are looking to experience that first American Football game, go to Homecoming, or ride the "yellow school bus." You can introduce your family to a new culture, become involved in the community activities, and experience life in America through the eyes of someone who may not have ever been here. This is the perfect time to host as Butler High School is still accepting students and there are still plenty of students to choose from. ASSE International is CSIET certified, has supportive local Area Representatives, 5 different scholarship programs, and sending partners all over the globe! Can you help make a student's dream come true? We would love to answer any questions that you may have or even help you find that perfect student for your family! Contact Shelley Watson at 252 202-6644 or go to www.asse.com for information or to apply.
